Our Governors

The Collective Vision Trust is responsible for the Governance of Bursley Academy.  They have appointed a sub-committee called the Local Governing Committee to help them to fulfil this role. At Bursley Academy, the governors support the school. They actively seek to support and challenge the Executive Head Teacher, helping to support the vision and strategic direction of the school.

Some of the responsibilities carried out by the governors include:

·         Being a champion for the school

·         Helping to monitor and evaluate the work of the school

·         Supporting the leadership in making the school the best it can be

·         Visiting the school and supporting events

We hold three Local Governing Committee meetings each year where we discuss the progress that the school is making and look at the evidence of improvement.
